TDP lodges complaint against YSRC candidate

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Saturday lodged a complaint with the returning officer alleging that the nominee of the YSR Congress for the Kakinada city Assembly constituency Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy was violating the model code of conduct. In a letter addressed to the returning officer, TDP’s city unit president Nunna Lakshmana Rao (Dora Babu) alleged the Mr. Reddy was sending letters through post to the parents of schoolchildren in the Kakianda city Assembly constituency promising them a sum of Rs. 500 per month towards the educational expenses of their wards under ‘YSR Amma Odi’ scheme if the YSRC voted to power in the ensuring elections. Mr. Dora Babu sought registration of a case against Mr. Reddy for violating the model code.
