Reacting to the comments of Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan on twitter for the second consecutive day on Thursday, TDP Ministers chose not to join the issue, but hoped the popular star would look at the issue objectively.
In what appeared to be an attempt to defuse the situation following war of words on twitter between ‘power star’ and Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Wednesday, Agriculture Minister P. Pulla Rao said that they would explain why the government could not help issuing notice to acquire 3,000 acres of farm land in three riverfront villages in Amaravati.
“We will convince him (Pawan) on the need to acquire farm land. It’s not possible to ignore the chunks of land amid 33,000 acres . He may not have been given the correct picture by farmers who are opposed to parting with their land,” he said.
Minister Ravela Kishore Babu said “My appeal to Mr. Pawan is not to create hurdles for the development of new capital by opposing acquisition of 2,200 acres.”
