Confident of winning 10 Assembly seats in the district

Telugu Desam Party State executive secretary Tumula Bhaskara Rao, TDP Srikakulam Parliamentary wing in-charge Kinjarapu Rammohan on Monday said that there was a silent wave in favour of the party in the State as the people were totally fed up with the ruling Congress. They said people would not believe YSR Congress also since many of its leaders were facing serious corruption charges.

The party held Srikakulam district general body conference at Bapuji Kalamandir.

Mr. Bhaskara Rao, the chief guest, said people were eager to see TDP president N.Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister since he had developed the State in all aspects.

Mr. Rammohan said the party got back its glory with the winning major panchayats in the just-concluded local body elections.

He said that the response was positive in nook and corner of the district for the Intintiki Telugu Desam programme. Party senior leaders Kala Venkata Rao, Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, P.V. Ramana and others hoped that the party would come to power with a thumping majority in 2014 elections.

Dig at Dharmana

Mr. Atchannaidu and Mr. Ramana alleged that former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao was trying to join YSR Congress only to protect himself from the CBI cases.

Party district wing president Chowdary Babji asked leaders to shun their differences and strengthen the party from grassroots level. He hoped that the party would win Srikakulam Parliamentary seat and 10 Assembly seats as people were keen on sound administration in the State.
