Responding to the abusive language used by actor Sri Reddy against his mother, Jana Sena Party chief K. Pawan Kalyan, in a series of tweets, accused the Telugu Desam Party, a film director and certain Telugu news channel heads of getting his mother abused in public and airing the same repeatedly for TRPs and political benefits.

Mr. Pawan, who first extended birthday wishes to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday, thanked him for the invitation to the ‘ Dharma Porata Deeksha’. He then shot a series of questions to Mr. Naidu asking, “I have supported you without expecting anything in return for the sake of the State. But, you, your son and his friends try to backstab the helping hand (Pawan) through your media. How can I believe you? (sic).”

“For having supported you to form the government you are showing gratitude by running this entire episode against me, my family, followers by news channels at the behest of your son and his friends from AP Secretariat (sic),” he tweeted.

“As part of it, ₹10 crore was spent to drag me into issues that I am not related to and got my mother abused on the road besides repeat airing of the same and circulation by your party men. How should I consider your invitation now? (sic),” Mr. Pawan Kalyan tweeted.

Reveals names

He also revealed the names and posted pictures of the director, owners of the news channels and a friend of Mr. Lokesh and asked if he should believe that Mr. Naidu is unaware of all the developments.

In the early hours, Mr. Pawan made a series of tweets saying, “If I cannot defend the honour of my mother I better die.” “From today I go forward with a decision to face death any second. In case if I die in this struggle, you should remember that I am on the side of the downtrodden... It is enough if you consider that I died fighting the power that is an exploitation system working works only for the influential (sic),” he wrote.
