November 27, 2012 02:43 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:02 am IST - HYDERBAD:

Five Congress MPs from Telangana on Monday submitted a one-page letter to the AICC president Sonia Gandhi urging her to take an early decision on the statehood issue.

The Congress MPs -- Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Yaskhi Goud, G. Vivekananda, Manda Jagannath and S. Rajaiah -- who have stayed away from the winter session of the Parliament so far, met the party chief and submitted the letter. Sources said, the MPs in their letter reminded the party leadership of its promise to take an early decision on Telangana. They explained to her the difficulties faced by the ruling party leaders in their respective constituencies due to the delay in giving clarity on the issue.
