Suspected custodial death in Kadapa

A man, arrested on suspicion of being involved in red sanders smuggling, allegedly died in police custody in Kadapa Central Crime Station in the early hours of Thursday. T. Prasad Reddy of Jandamanu Street in Puttur in Chittoor district, who was arrested, died in a suspicious manner in Kadapa CCS. According to information, Kadapa police shifted the body to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences hospital.

Police officials are tight-lipped about the death. Police informed his family members about the death and posted a police picket at the hospital.
