Three stray horses, which were fighting with one another in the Machani Somappa Zilla Parishad Girls High School Grounds in Yemmiganur town in Kurnool district on Wednesday, went berserk and bit 15 persons, including a student, leading to their hospitalisation.

A horse bit a student, Praneeth, on the hand while he was going to write SSC English Paper II examination in the school.

On hearing the student’s cries, some persons nearby, who went into the school premises, were also attacked by the horses.

The horses went berserk and bit an All India Students Federation leader Ranganna and went on to bite 14 others, including two workers Jakir Hussain and Nabi Saheb on their hands, back and stomach.

A group of persons present there ran helter-skelter to save themselves. Some people drove away the horses with sticks and rushed the injured to the government hospital at Yemmiganur.
