Corporate colleges continue their good performance
State students continued their good performance in the AIEEE bagging good ranks in the top 100 compared to other States in all the streams. Corporate colleges continued their good performance securing 4th, 10th, 12th, 16th and 20th rank at the national-level in open category in B.Tech.
Students from Sri Chaitanya and Narayana Groups secured first and second ranks in the B.Tech open category, but they took coaching in their Delhi branches. Sandeep Pathry of Sri Chaitanya group secured first rank by scoring 346 marks out of 360 while Narayana student Ananth Gupta bagged second rank in B.Tech in OC category. Toppers in B.Tech OC category are Sai Akhil (4th rank), Chinta Nitish Chandra (10th rank), Sri Krishna (12th rank), G.Ashish (16th rank) and Nunna Satya Mounika (20th rank).
Sushma, academic director of Sri Chaitanya Group, said that in the B. Tech stream OC category their students secured 12 ranks below 100. In the B. Arch stream in OC category their students have bagged 29 ranks below 100 and this was due to the ICON and NEON programmes launched by them focussing on IIT and AIEEE. Chairman of Narayana Group P. Narayana said that their students secured five ranks in top 10 and 40 ranks below 100 in OC category. He said 720 students from Narayana group across the country have figured in the top-100 list in all the categories put together. Narayana students Inampudi Chaitanya topped the country by securing first rank in OC category in B. Arch stream, while Y. Kiran got first rank in SC category in B.Tech stream. Similarly, B. Akhil Naik got 2nd rank in ST category in B.Arch and S. Bharadwaj got 2nd rank in OC category in B.Arch. In a statement Sri Chaitanya institutions claimed that its students Gubba Maniratna got 5th rank, Mandava Srinath got 7th rank, A.M. Satya Prakash got 8th rank, N. Hari Prasad got 9th rank in OC category in B.Arch stream. Similarly, in a statement Srri Gayatri claimed that its students secured 12, 15, 16, 21, 23, 25, 31, 37, 45 ranks respectively in various categories.
The AIEEE helps admissions into more than 26,000 seats in NITs, IIITs and several other institutions across the country. This year, OC candidates who secured 48 marks, OBCs 45 marks, SC/STs 18 marks and PHC candidates who secured 18 marks were declared eligible to fill in their choices for online counselling to be conducted by the Central Counselling Board. An interesting aspect of this year exam is that they could verify their OMR sheets online.
