State for re-examination by MCI on medical seats

The State government will seek a re-examination by Medical Council of India to retain the 600 medical seats that the State stands to lose, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas has said. In an interaction with the media at the BJP office ahead of the first Cabinet meeting here, he said a meeting scheduled for Friday was postponed to July 15. The State government will seek the intervention of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and will spare no effort in retaining the seats, he said.

Andhra Medical College here will also stand to lose 50 seats as infrastructure was not in place.
