Executive Officer of Srisailam Devasthanams Narayana Bharath Gupta directed the district officials on Monday to work with coordination and make foolproof arrangements for devotees who would take a holy dip in the Krishna river during the Pushkarams.

Addressing a coordination committee meeting with district officials in the conference hall in his office here, Mr. Gupta said 19 senior officials were deputed as in charges to Srisailam for pushkaram duties to suggest the facilities to be provided for devotees. He sought reports on putting up water-proof tents, readying bathing ghats, parking slots and providing other amenities to ensure that devotees were not put to inconvenience.

He told officials to examine the places for installing public address systems and LED screens for telecasting the pushkaram-related programmes and setting up primary health centres. He instructed the DMHO to station 108 ambulances at Pathalaganga and Lingalagattu pushkar ghats.

The temple would issue identity cards and provide accommodation and food for the officials and staff drafted for pushkaram duties, Mr. Gupta said. Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Maheswara Reddy, executive officer Rami Reddy took part.
