Superintendent of Police Ravi Praksh has said four special teams had been constituted to nab Avinash, who claimed himself to be Chairman of International Human Rights Commission. Speaking to The Hindu on Tuesday, the SP said a suo motu case had been registered against Avinash.

The police would examine the video clipping in which the accused was manhandling a youth belonging to SC community.

Inquiry would also be conducted into the alleged inaction of Peddapuram police who failed to arrest Avinash who came to station a few days ago with his men in a car with beacon light and name plate as Chairman of International Human Rights.

The SP said cases had been registered under relevant sections for allegedly threatening people from whom he allegedly extorted money, SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) Act, intimidating and cheating.

Mr. Ravi Prakash said Avinash misused the name of Deputy Chief Minister Mr. N. Chinna Rajappa.
