Special category status not enough

Lok Satta Party has expressed satisfaction over the Union Government and the Planning Commission fulfilling its commitment to accord special category status to Andhra Pradesh following its bifurcation. Party national president Jayaprakash Narayan, in a release, said it was his party which proposed grant of special category status to Andhra Pradesh. Dr. JP said that mere extension of special category status for five years was not enough. The Centre has to meet AP’s revenue deficit for 10 years.
