Andhra Pradesh president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Bandaru Dattatreya has demanded that Congress president Sonia Gandhi break her silence on the Telangana issue and table a Bill in Parliament to ensure the long-cherished statehood. He took part in a series of meetings held as part of ‘Rachabanda’ programme in Nalgonda, Marriguda, Chandur and other mandals on Sunday.
Party activists obtained the signatures of the villagers in favour of statehood on the occasion. Speaking to mediamen at Cherlapalli village, Mr. Dattatreya said that the Congress was responsible for the present chaos in the State.
