Singapore to submit Master Plan today

Singapore government agencies will submit the Master Plan (second phase) for building the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday.

Singapore’s Second Minister for Trade and Industry S.Iswaran will have one-on-one meeting with the Chief Minister initially soon after the arrival of the team from Singapore. Senior officials from Centre of Liveable Cities will be accompanying Mr. Iswaran.

Later, the delegation would interact with high-powered committee on the formation of the new capital.

The Singapore government agencies submitted the first phase of the Master Plan of the capital region for approximately 7,325 square km area in March. Second phase of the Capital City Master Plan covers 125 square km of the core of the capital city, while a detailed Seed Development Plan for the construction of eight square km (first section) is expected to be submitted soon.
