Singapore Minister to meet Naidu today

As a follow-up to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s recent visit to Singapore, the Second Minister for Trade and Industry and Home Affairs in Singapore Government, S. Iswaran is arriving here on Monday to meet Mr. Naidu.

Mr. Iswaran will be leaving here for Singapore on Monday night after his meeting with Mr. Naidu scheduled at 4.30 p.m. The interaction is expected to focus on the Master Plan being prepared by Singapore Government for the new capital region of Andhra Pradesh, coming up in Guntur district.

During his visit, the Chief Minister had sought the help of Singapore government in building the new capital and also 14 smart cities in the State. Several Singapore companies also evinced interest in setting up units in different sectors. The State government also sought Singapore’s expertise in e-governance, skill development and in education sector.
