SI chased and caught by ACB officials

A Sub-Inspector was chased and caught by ACB officials in a bribery case at Begumpet village in Daultabad mandal of Medak district on Thursday.

According to sources, one Ramlal tried to lodge a complaint against MNREGS field assistant Mahipal alleging that he was manhandled when he demanded his wage. He approached Begumpet SI Murari in this regard. Murari reportedly demanded bribe to register the case and Ramlal agreed to pay Rs. 5,000 and forwarded the information to the ACB officials. ACB officials tried to arrest Murari while accepting the bribe at the police station. Seeing the ACB sleuths, Murari ran away from the police station and the ACB officials had to chase him for about 2 km.
