Several trains cancelled, regulated in Vijayawada Division

Flood waters washed away soil from under the railway tracks at Bayyavaram near Anakapalle cutting off railway communication on Sunday and it was likely to be restored only on Monday morning. The road communication between Vijayawada and Hyderabad also remained suspended this morning.

Several trains were either cancelled or diverted between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam on Sunday due to breaches in Visakhapatnam-Samalkot section. Train no. 12864 Yesvanthpur-Howrah was held up at Tuni and 12704 Falaknuma Express at Annavaram because of breaches between Narasingapalli and Bayyavaram.

Train no. 12704 Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express scheduled to depart Secunderabad at 4 p.m on October 28 and 11019 Mumbai CST-Bhubaneswar Konark Express scheduled to depart Mumbai at 3.10 p.m on Sunday (October 27) and 18495 Rameswaram-Bhubaneswar Express scheduled to leave Rameswaram (on Sunday) at 8 a.m were cancelled.

Train no. 17239 Guntur-Visakhapatnam Express scheduled that departed Guntur at 8 a.m on Sunday was partially cancelled between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Train no. 18646 Hyderabad-Howrah East Coast Express which departed Hyderabad at 10 a.m on Sunday and 12513 Secunderabad–Guwahati Express which departed Secunderabad at 7.30 a.m on Sunday were diverted to run via Kazipet, Balharshah, Nagpur, Tatanagar and Kharagpur.

Train no. 11019 Mumbai CST-Bhubaneswar Konark Express which departed Mumbai at 3.10 p.m on October 26 was diverted to run via Kazipet, Balharshah, Nagpur, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
