Session on dispute resolution

A two-day session on ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution’ began here under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Saturday. Inaugurating the session at the Collectorate, noted lawyer and director of the International Disputes Tribunal (Andhra Pradesh) J.L.N. Murthy said that there were alternative methods for speedy disposal of the pending cases. “In view of the growing pending cases, those involved in litigation are showing interest in alternative methods, with legal sanction,” he said. District judge K.V. Vijaykumar said the alternative methods would become effective with active participation of the judicial officers.
