AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh has said that the Centre will give the best possible package to people of Seemandhra and also Hyderabad.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Monday, Mr. Singh said it was the responsibility of the Congress party, including MPs, Ministers, MLAs and the Chief Minister, to find a solution so that the best possible deal is given to Seemandhra, Telangana and the people of Hyderabad.
He wanted people and leaders to send their concerns to the Group of Ministers.
Asked whether a resolution would be sent to the Assembly, Mr. Singh said as per the earlier schedule given to him by the Union Home Ministry, a resolution would be sent to the Assembly through the President. “Now I am told that the Home Minister has given some other statement and the Group of Ministers has decided something else,” he added.
The AICC general secretary said he had sought an appointment with the Home Minister S. K. Shinde and would request him to give a new schedule, if they had changed the previous one.
Asked about Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s assertion that he would stall the bifurcation cyclone, Mr. Singh merely smiled and moved away.
