Strike notice to be served on the Chief Secretary today

In the wake of UPA Government getting ready to introduce the A.P. State Reorganisation Bill 2013 in Parliament, about four lakh government employees, including teachers, will go on an indefinite strike from the midnight of February 5 with a demand to keep the State united.

Samaikhya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika led by APNGOs Association and other organisations opposing State bifurcation met at the APNGOs Home here on Monday and announced the action plan to oppose introduction of bifurcation Bill in the Parliament. APNGOs president P. Ashok Babu addressing media persons after the meeting, said that as part of their action plan, government employees in 13 Seemandhra districts will go on indefinite strike. A strike notice would be served on the Chief Secretary on Tuesday, he said.
