Seemandhra leaders’ differences out in the open

December 25, 2013 02:01 am | Updated November 16, 2021 06:09 pm IST - SRIKAKULAM:

Differences among Seemandhra Ministers were out in the open in Rajam on Tuesday when T.G .Venkatesh and Kondru Murali contradicted each other on State bifurcation issue.

At the inauguration of a farmers’ training centre, Mr. Venkatesh strongly opposed the bifurcation move and pointed out lacunae in the draft A.P. Reorganization Bill in the presence of Mr. Murali. Mr. Murali, who refused to agree with his colleague, defended the UPA government’s stand on State bifurcation. He argued that the party high command favoured bifurcation only after all the major parties agreed on it.
