SCR introduces mobile ticketing van

A mobile ticketing van to provided hassle-free journey and issue railway tickets on the move has been introduced by the South Central Railway, Guntur Division. The van positioned nearer to the pushkar ghats at Amaravati and Dharanikota has been equipped with ticket vending machines, said Assistant Commercial Manager Ali Khan.

The first-of-its kind initiative has been appreciated by people thronging the pushkar ghats and tickets worth over Rs.1 lakh have been issued already.

Mr. Khan further said that 145 special trains have been running for the Krishna Pushkarams, including 73 unreserved trains. Special halts have been provided at Mangalagiri, Pedakurapadu and Vishnupuram.
