Satyam served demand notice of Rs. 2,113 cr.

Mahindra Satyam, erstwhile Satyam Computers, has been served a demand notice of Rs.2,113.42 crore from Income-Tax department for the assessment years 2002-03 and 2007-08 when B. Ramalinga Raju was the Chairman.

The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday that it received the notice from the Additional Commissioner of I-T which cited disallowance of tax exemptions and deductions claimed by the company -- Rs. 1,037.69 crore and Rs. 1,075.73 crore respectively – for the two assessment years.
