Saturday prayers must for TTD staff

August 19, 2012 03:17 am | Updated 03:17 am IST - Tirumala:

The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer L.V. Subramanyam scripted a new leaf in the history of the institution by making it mandatory for all employees to attend the ‘mass prayer’ at the sprawling lawns of the administrative office at Tirupati on every Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Subramanyam appealed to the employees to follow the basic tenets of Hinduism, given their association with the world’s premier religious institution.

Dwelling at length, he also gave a clarion call asking them to act as per the Karma Siddhanta preached by none other than Lord Krishna and discharge their obligations sincerely, coupled with honesty irrespective of the ultimate results.

In the same vein TTD EO Subramanyam also asked them to attend the community prayer that will be organised on every Saturday hereafter, in a traditional dress and mandatorily sport a ‘tilakam’ on their foreheads, besides organising poojas regularly at their respective departments.
