Satrucharla faces ‘Samaikya’ heat

October 16, 2013 04:18 am | Updated 04:19 am IST - SRIKAKULAM:

Minister for Forest Satrucharla Vijayarama Raju on Tuesday faced ire of Samaikyandhra agitators at Kotturu .

A few protesters reportedly hurled stones and chappals on the Minister’s convoy in the village.

To cool tempers, the Minister came out of his vehicle and tried to convince the agitators that he was also committed for united AP.

Meanwhile, employees of Zilla Parishad organised a novel protest displaying ten ‘betrayers’ of Seemandhra while naming Botcha Satyanarayana as the No.1 betrayer among them.

They compared them with Dasakantha Ravanasura and raised slogans while blocking the traffic on the Collector’s camp office road.

Security was beefed up as Union Minister of State for Communications and Technology Killi Kruparani was about to take the same route after attending a review meeting on the cyclone at the Collectorate.
