Twenty-four hours after the death of Sarika and her three children, the police are yet to confirm if it is a case of suicide or murder. City Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu said it would take two days to arrive at a conclusion as the post-mortem report is yet to come and the interrogation is still underway.

Meanwhile, the forensic experts at MGM Hospital mortuary conducted post-mortem and handed over the bodies to relatives of Sarika. They performed the last rites with the help of goldsmith community association in Warangal.

An email written by Sarika to her advocate in Hyderabad and to AICC president Sonia Gandhi sent shock waves in the State as she poured out her plight in them. How her wayward husband neglected her and children and how her mother-in-law ill treated beyond words and how she struggled to keep the family together. She said they were treated worse than dogs and all the time Mr. Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi, and their son Anil Kumar, hatched plans to eliminate her or send her out of the house.

“I had to suffer physical and mental torture in their hands. I was not even allowed to use toilet inside the house during my pregnancy. We were not allowed inside the bedroom and were forced to stay in a hall,” she went on with her heart-rending tale of plight.

It may be noted that Sarika and her three children – Abhinav (7) and Ayan (4) and Sriyan (4) were found dead, charred in fire, at the residence of Congress former MP Sircilla Rajaiah in Revenue Colony in Hanamkonda in the wee hours of Wednesday.
