D. Raghavachari and D. Seshachari, a Carnatic vocalist duo renowned as Hyderabad Brothers, were bestowed with the title of ‘Sapthagiri Sangeetha Vidwanmani’, during the valedictory session of the 75th annual Sri Thyagaraja Annual Festival of Music and Dance, here on Saturday.

The title was conferred on them by Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement (PSSM) founder Subhash Patri, who was accompanied by Sri Thyagaraja Trust Executive Chairman K.V. Ranganathan (Bhimas Raghu), Secretary Kanchi Raghuram and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ranganathan remarked that the Hyderabad Brothers had achieved a unique milestone of sustaining nearly five decades of partnership in presenting classical music with pristine purity.
