Sand art to add grandeur to Brahmotsavams

Two girl artists from Mysore will depict 10 mythological themes through sand art

Adding more grandeur to the nine-day annual Brahmotsavams, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), for the first time in the temple history, has embarked upon a novel idea of displaying sand sculptures at the hill shrine.

The mega religious carnival which is illustrious for all its pomp and pageantry will have another addition this year in the form of thematic display of sand art .

Two girls Ms. Gouri and Neelambika – skippers in fine arts from Mysore are all set to showcase their expertise in the innovative art.

According to the Deputy Director TTDs gardens, Mr. Srinivasulu, about ten mythological themes would be displayed at the annual expo during the festival.

Flower exhibition

Renowned floral artists from the neighbouring States of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and different parts of the State have already reached the temple town and are putting in their best efforts to make the annual floral exhibition a grand success.

Mr. Srinivasulu further said that the sand sculptures and flower expo would certainly be cynosure to the eyes of devotees.
