Students under the banner of the Samaikyandhra Samaikyandhra Vidyarthi Joint Action Committee (SVJAC) held an impressive rally urging the Centre to come out with a clear-cut announcement for keeping the State united.

The students led by SVJAC State convenor D.V.Krishna Yadav paid floral tributes to noted freedom fighter Duggirala Gopalakrishnayya who led the Chirala-Perala movement during the freedom struggle.

Concluding their march in-front of the statue of Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu near the railway station, they vowed to put pressure on Ministers, MPs and MLAs from Seemandhra to resign from their posts for the cause of Samaikyandhra. Addressing the students, Samaikyandhra Samiti founder Kumar Chowdary from Telangana opined that Telugu people would prosper only under Samaikyandhra. SVJAC Chirala political JAC convenor G.Madhava Rao said that the Centre should give up its delay-tactics which hurt the development in the State, affecting the future of youth and others sections of people.

SVJAC State co-convenor Rayapatti Jagadeesh wanted UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to take a cue from former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi who stood for united State, in the larger national interest.
