Salim Raj’s call details not available, says company

January 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:13 am IST - Kochi:

A private mobile phone service provider has told the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court that it will not be able to provide the details of telephonic conversations of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s former gunman Salim Raj.

The court was hearing a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation seeking permission to collect the details to assist its probe in the Kalamassery land grab case.

The company said it could not provide the details due to technical reasons. It said it did not record the conversations of customers and that even call details were stored in its servers only for a period of 12 months.
