Run-away boy rescued from railway station

May 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:03 am IST - ONGOLE:

A 12-year-old boy was rescued by Childline India Foundation NGO partner HELP from the railway station here late on Sunday night.

The boy, D.N.Prasad, ran way from his home at Musheerabad in Hyderabad, after his mother beat him up for doing some mischief, HELP social activist B.V.Sagar said.

Prasad, who wanted to go to his uncle’s house at Srikalahasthi, was travelling by Thirvananthapuram-bound Sabari Express. He missed the train, when he got down to drink water here.

He was sent to Boys' home ‘Bommarillu’ on Monday.
