RSS leader Deshmukh passes away

He died at his residence in Hyderabad on Thursday and the last rites were performed on Friday.

Tedlapally Venkata Narasimha Rao Deshmukh, a prominent RSS leader who worked as Dakshin Madhya Kshetra Sanghachalak handling the RSS activities in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana, passed away at his residence in Hyderabad on Thursday.

He was suffering from prolonged illness that assumed severe proportions for the past few months and the end came at about 11 a.m.

He was born on July 29, 1946 in Vangur village of Mahbubnagar district. Since school days, he was a staunch follower of the RSS and educated himself to achieve a Master of Arts and LLB.

An active member of the Keshav Memorial Trust, Keshav Samvardhan Samithi and other organisations, he played a vital role in founding the Vaidekhi Ashram exclusively for girls.

Since 2012, he has been Kshetra Sangachalak (for Dakshina Madhya Kshetra), I.e. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. The last rites were conducted here on Friday.
