RSR Foundation to conduct yoga classes

Rankireddy Subba Raju, Chairman of RSR Foundation and Yoga Srinivas, prominent teacher in Patanjali Yoga and leader of Yoga Vignana Yatra said that yoga classes would be conducted from April 24 to May 10 in Sri Kandukuri Veeresalingam Degree College at Y. Junction from morning 5 to 7 a.m. every day.

According to Mr. Subba Raju, the aim of the Yoga Vignana Yatra was to spread awareness among the people and the recent camp conducted in agency areas ended satisfactorily. He said that the foundation wanted to cover both Godavari districts and asked Mr. Srinivas to conduct classes for one week to 10 days in mandal headquarters from February this year.

Accordingly, yoga classes were conducted in Kadiyam, Vemagiri and other places in East Godavari after which Mr. Srinivas proposed organising classes at Addateegala mandal in forest area. “At valedictory function, VVIPs, including some political leaders from plain areas could not believe their eyes that hundreds of tribal students doing Yoga in a systematic and very disciplined way for more than two hours”, he said.

Mr. Srinivas said that more than 2,000 young children, their parents, teachers and some employees in Rampachodavaram Agency area became a driving force for them to extend their mission. Mr. Srinivas said buoyed by the response received to the classes, it was decided to conduct more such camps in the rest of the seven mandals in Agency.

Thota Subba Rao, president of Goutama Ghat spiritual organisations, has announced that he will convince the municipal corporation authorities to give parks in all 50 wards to conduct free Yoga classes to the surrounding area people from mid-May. Nandakishore, Yoga Vignana Yatra manager and others also took part in the campaign.
