State government has sanctioned a cash reward of Rs. 5 lakh on arrested Maoist underground cadre, Ganjikunta Rama Krishna following a proposal from Director General of Police to that effect.
According to a GO issued on Thursday, Ganjikunta Rama Krishna, alias Chandra alias Mahesh alias Sreenu, ACM ( Area Committee Member), technical team, Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee ( DKSZC) was arrested on May 30. He was instrumental in the growth of Maoist movement in Nallamala Forest area Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zonal Committee (AOBSZC) and DKSZC and he specialised in making weapon butts, tapanchas, single and double bore barrel guns and is carrying a cash reward of Rs. 4 lakh as ACM.
He was subsequently elevated to the rank of divisional committee member and the reward amount is Rs. 5 lakh. The DGP requested to sanction and release the reward amount of Rs. 5 lakh on Ganjikunta Ramakrishna. The government after careful examination decided to accept the proposal to sanction the amount.
The Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence, A.P. is authorised to draw and disburse the amount to the concerned as per rules or orders in vogue, the GO said.
