Rs. 32 crore sanctioned for development of Rajakas

Andhra Pradesh Washermen Cooperative Societies Federation Limited Chairman Rajahmundry Narayana elucidated on the steps taken by State government for upliftment of people hailing from Rajaka communities. Interacting with the media, on sidelines of his two-day visit to Chittoor district, here on Wednesday, Mr. Narayana said that about Rs.32 crore has been sanctioned, for the current financial year, aimed at the development and welfare of Rajakas, across the State. He later addressed the officials, during the review meet, and urged them work hard in achieving the targets, so as to contribute towards their financial development via government welfare schemes. “Hasten the construction of dhobi ghats across the district and hold regular review meets, once every three months, to keep a track of implementation of welfare schemes” he added. Mr. Narayana said that the federation would tour the districts and identify problems at the grassroots-level, before submitting a memorandum to the government. With respect to the recent death of a couple in Railway Kodur of Kadapa district, which left a girl orphaned, Mr. Narayana said that her education would be taken care of by the NTR Trust, as indicated by Mr Lokesh.
