August 30, 2017 01:46 am | Updated 01:50 am IST - Vijayawada

Candidates who want to discontinue after joining MBBS and BDS courses in the earlier phases and also in the pending final phase will have to pay a penal fee of ₹3 lakh in addition to forfeiting the tuition fee paid, according to a circular by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Registrar S. Appala Naidu.

In addition to the penal fee, the candidates would be barred from getting admitted to either MBBS or BDS courses for a period of two years, the circular said. The circular reminded those who applied for the fifth and final phase of counselling that it was compulsory for them to join the course and would be liable for the penal action if they do not.
