Rs. 21 lakh research grant for SVU professor

B. Deva Prasad Raju , Associate Professor of Future Studies at Sri Venkateswara University has been sanctioned a project grant of Rs.21.29 lakh by the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) under the Department of Atomic Energy).

The grant was handed over to Dr. Raju by SVU Vice -Chancellor W. Rajendra and is meant for the research project entitled ‘Optimization of Nd3+ ions doped silicate based glass ceramic for high power solid state laser’. For this project, Dr. Raju will be working in coordination with Sivanand Chourasia, Scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC).

SVU’s Rector M.A.K. Sukumar, Registrar K. Satyavelu Reddy, Science College Principal K.V.S. Sarma and others took part in the event.
