Chief Minister Konijeti Rosaiah has a share in all the corrupt activities being perpetuated by the Congress government in the State, TDP president N. Chandrababau Naidu alleged at a press conference here on Tuesday.

Launching a scathing attack against the Congress government, he alleged that the unbridled corrupt practices started by former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy were being continued by Mr. Rosaiah and his Cabinet colleagues.

Offers to provide proof

“We will provide proof against all the Ministers of their corrupt activities and if the Rosaiah Government had guts, let it take action against them,” the TDP leader said. If there was only one Madhu Koda in Jharkhand there were more than 100 in the State, he alleged.

Making a frontal attack against the Guntur Agriculture Market Yard Chairman L. Appi Reddy, he lamented that nothing had come out of the inquiry process with regard to his involvement in the May 2008 inferno.

Mr. Naidu lambasted Heavy Industries Minister Kanna Laksminarayana for his alleged role in getting some of the plots in the Pharmacy SEZ cancelled and getting them allotted in his son's name. He went on to give examples of how CWC member G. Venkataswamy had openly alleged that then Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy had demanded 50 per cent share in regularisation of his lands, but skirted the discussion around the allegations made by Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao.

Security threat

When asked as to why he was avoiding a visit to Gummanampadu, where corruption of Rs.1.8 crore was detected in the NREGS works last year, he said that the security personnel did not allow him due to a threat from naxalites.

“Congress leaders are capable of bribing and corrupting our TDP leaders also in NREGS works,” he said.
