TDP leaders were raising a hue and cry over YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu only to divert the people’s attention from the issue of 21 legislators defecting to the ruling party without quitting the Assembly membership, unlike MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy, who resigned before joining the YSRCP, said Nagari MLA R.K. Roja on Friday. Justifying Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s remarks, Ms. Roja, while addressing the media in Nandyal, alleged that Mr. Naidu too had on several occasions threatened the YSRCP chief.

‘Who betrayed NTR?’

She asked the Chief Minister to state how former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy died in a helicopter crash a day after he remarked “let us see who will be finished” in the Assembly. The people were aware of who had back-stabbed TDP founder and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao. They were also aware of who were behind the killing of MLC Vangaveeti Ranga and who had given prime positions to the accused in Y.S. Raja Reddy’s murder case, she said. Ms. Roja accused Mr. Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy of being behind the killing of YSRCP Pathikonda in charge Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy. She also said that IPS officer Balasubramanyam and tahsildar Vanajakshi were harassed.

Claiming that she was suspended from the Assembly for alleging that TDP leaders were behind the call money racket that ruined the lives of several women, she said Agriculture Minister S. Chandramohan Reddy, who was defeated in five Assembly elections, was inducted into the Cabinet to deride Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Similarly, Marketing Minister C. Adinarayana Reddy was given the Ministry after his relative Kesava Reddy had “collected deposits” and was arrested for “cheating parents.”

She advised Mr. Adinarayana Reddy to speak after resigning and getting re-elected on the TDP ticket.

Ms. Roja told Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya to recall who had booked a rowdysheet against her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy. After her mother Sobha Nagi Reddy’s death, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy gave PAC chief post to Nagi Reddy, she said.
