RINL pays tribute to Potti Sriramulu

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited paid rich tributes to Amara Jeevi Potti Sriramulu here at Ukkunagaram on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Director (Personnel) G.B.S. Prasad garlanded the portrait and statue of Potti Sriramulu and offered floral tributes.

Speaking on the occasion, he recalled the sacrifices of Potti Sriramulu in the formation of first linguistic State in the country. He said that Potti Sriramulu began his fast on October 19, 1952 at Chennai for a separate State for Telugu-speaking people and sacrificed his life on December 15, 1952.

The combined Andhra Pradesh State was formed on November 1, 1956. Union leaders Gandham Venkat Rao, D. Adinarayana, Mastanappa, SC&ST Association representatives Jagjeevan Ram, Sampoornam, G. Bosubabu and large number of employees participated.
