Research-oriented teaching methods were vital to increase comprehension of students of the syllabus, District Intellectual Forum president M. Vivekananda Reddy said on Monday.

Speaking at a science fair on “safeguarding environment - existence of life” in Pushpagiri School here, he said preserving environment must be taken up as a movement by the people to bring the desired change. Field-level action plans must be formulated and awareness created among people, he said.

Students of fourth to sixth standard displayed several exhibits. An exhibit “Swachh Gramam (village)”, in which portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.
