September 16, 2013 02:17 am | Updated June 02, 2016 12:23 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Rajya Sabha member Renuka Chowdary faced an embarrassing situation at the Telangana Congress leaders’ meeting here on Sunday, when her presence reportedly irked party MP Ponnam Prabhakar.

Sources said when Ms. Chowdary walked into the meeting hall in response to a formal invitation from the party leaders, Mr. Prabhakar is said to have objected to the presence of leaders who spoke in favour of Seemandhra region. He was joined by former Minister R. Damodar Reddy, who too expressed his reservation at her presence. At one stage, Mr. Prabhakar reportedly got up to leave the hall but was pacified by Panchayat Raj Minister K. Jana Reddy.
