Regency yet to assess damage

February 07, 2012 08:59 am | Updated November 17, 2021 05:02 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Regency Ceramics on Monday said that with the entire Yanam unit in such a shambles after the attack on January 27 in which its president (operations) K.C. Chandrasekhar was killed, it was difficult for even a preliminary damage assessment to be made. The company has declared a lockout after the violence last month.

Addressing a press conference here, Regency Ceramics chairman G.N. Naidu said future plans could be chalked out only after an assessment was made. The advice of European experts was being sought as equipment was imported from Italy and Spain. Asked about plans to re-locate the unit elsewhere, he replied in the negative.
