Endowment Minister P.Manikyala Rao being extended a traditional welcome with a cow at the inaugural of the State-wide meeting of ‘Goshalas’ in Tirupati on Sunday.

Endowments Minister P. Manikyala Rao has urged all the stakeholders to understand the importance of rearing ‘Desi’ cows to give a much-needed push to the rural economy, rather than looking at it merely as milch animal.

Speaking at a State-level conference of Goshala operators organised jointly by the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshanasala Trust and Go Vyavasaya Arogya Vignana Kendram here on Sunday, he explained why it was important to develop knowledge on using scientific methodologies to profit from cow products, which would have a telling effect on the rural economy.

“We should also develop the technique of ‘farming through cow products’ to achieve healthy agro-products”, he added.
