Ready to resolve all issues with Telangana: CM

March 25, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has said the Telugu Desam government is willing to solve all the issues with Telangana State in an amicable manner including sharing of power.

While speaking on power situation in the State in the Assembly, he said there was no rationale in power sharing between A.P. and Telangana as it was decided on the basis of consumption.

“While A.P. got 46 per cent, Telangana got 54 per cent as per the State Reorganisation Act and we requested the Centre for a level playing field,” he said. This year post division, A.P. consumed 50.5 per cent while Telangana, 49 per cent. If Andhra Pradesh would have to share power from Krishnapatnam and Hinduja power plants with Telangana, both States could discuss though Telangana Chief Minister said they did not need A.P. power.
