Rayapati hints at new party if State is split

MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao has hinted at floating a new political party if the State bifurcation became inevitable.

Mr. Sambasiva Rao who met Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at the Secretariat here on Tuesday later spoke to media persons.

The MPs and Union Ministers of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema should resign to stall the process if the Cabinet note on Telangana was in favour of division, he said.

The Cabinet note was expected to be presented soon and the Seemandhra MPs would try to meet the Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. The resolution on Telangana should come to the Legislative Assembly for a debate.
