BJP national president Rajnath Singh will arrive here on Wednesday evening to attend a meeting with top RSS functionaries on the outskirts of the city on January 9.

According to party sources, Mr. Singh would interact with important State BJP leaders soon after his arrival here on Wednesday.

He would interact with RSS leaders the next day, the concluding day of a three-day all India executive meeting of the body.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and others are attending the meeting which is taking stock of the current political situation and the activities of various organisations, including BJP, ABVP and other front organisations of the Sangh Parivar.

Meanwhile, top State BJP leaders had a meeting with State-level RSS functionaries on Tuesday and discussed preparations for elections. Although the political situation was uncertain as far as the State was concerned, the party was still getting to ready for simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly, said a BJP leader.

In the event of Assembly elections getting postponed due to bifurcation of the State and the Lok Sabha polls are held as scheduled, it would be of advantage to BJP.
