Punya nadi harathi , jwalathoranam and pushkarini harathi will be given at Srisailam on the auspicious Karthika Pournami on Friday.

Harathis will be given to Krishnaveni river from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for global prosperity and puja will be performed to the Krishnaveni statue at Pathalaganga, temple executive officer Narayan Bharat Gupta said on Thursday.

Jwalathoranam would be organised at Gangadhara mantapam on Friday evening, as sighting it would lead to atonement of sins, restoration of health and ward off premature death, he said.

Dasavidha harathi, including Eka harathi , Netra harathi , Bilwa harathi , Naga harathi , Pancha harathi , Sadyojatha pancha harathi , Kumbha harathi , Nakshatra harathi , Ratha harathi and Karpoora harathi would be given to Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy, Sri Bhramaramba Devi and the pushkarini in the evening. Karthika deeparchana was arranged at the pushkarini with 50,000 oil lamps and 100 staff members were drafted to make the arrangements, Mr. Gupta said.

Laser show

A laser show, Sivathandavam, would be organised at the pushakarini for the first time at Srisailam. In Kalaneerajanam programme, harikatha, devotional music rendition and classical dances would be organised. Classical dances were performed by N. Sriya, K. Divyasudha, Jahnavi, Harshini, Sravani, Kavya, Deepthi, Amrutha, Brahmani, Yasaswini, Drakshayini, Haripriya and Gayatri on Thursday.

D. Sudhakar troupe of Tirupati would perform Girija Kalyanam ballet on Friday evening, the EO said.
