A hoarding put up by unidentified persons with seemingly provocative content directed towards the YSR Congress and its leader Jaganmohan Reddy near the NTR Municipal Stadium here sent the police into a tizzy on Tuesday.

The words on the hoarding with a picture of the Chanchalguda prison, where Jagan is lodged, seemed to target the fledgling party.

‘Moon Sena’

A group identifying itself as ‘The Moon Sena,’ claimed to have put it up opposite the main gate of the stadium in Chandramouli Nagar.

“Jail vakitlo janam dabbu chettu, anduko package, sarduko luggage” (Public money is growing on trees on the premises of central jail..get ready for the package…) are some of the words on the banner lampooning the party and allegedly referring to some of the MLAs and other leadersjumping the fence to express solidarity with the new party.

Banner removed

Within minutes of information being flashed to the Pattabhipuram Police Station, a team of policemen led by SHO Durga Prasad rushed to the spot and removed the flex banner.

Police also ensured that further trouble did not flare up because of the contentious poster . Based on a complaint, police filed cases under Section 153 (A) IPC amounting to spreading enmity between two groups and provoking hatred.

A mobile number displayed on the controversial hoarding is providing the police with some leads in the investigation.
