The Andhra Pradesh United Teachers’ Federation has expressed displeasure on certain recommendations of the 10th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) pertaining to dearness allowance, house rent allowance, pension, commutation and voluntary retirement.

The 1,856-page report carrying the 10th PRC recommendations had been made online , said APUTF district general secretary B. Lakshmi Raja here on Wednesday, adding that they welcomed some recommendations.

‘HRA not uniform’

Referring to the recommendations on HRA, he said that it was not uniform for all the district headquarters and continuation of 14.5 per cent HRA for Srikakulam, Machilipatnam and Chittoor was unjust, adding that non-reduction of the eligibility for full pension from 33 per cent to 30 per cent was also disappointing.

He sought disbursal of family pension and extension of encashment of half-pay leave to aided and local body school teachers.

“The revision of DA from 0.856 to 0.524 per cent for every rupee granted by the Centre will cause financial loss to the employees,” the APUTF leader said and demanded that the State government match the DA with that paid to the Central government employees.
